This vibrant performing arts school located in a local hub of theatrical activity- Riverlea Theatre- offers students from 4 to 100yrs old an exciting range of opportunities to develop dramatic skills and attain theatrical excellence within the atmospheric, fun, stimulating environment of a working theatre. The sessions are facilitated by qualified, experienced theatre practitioners who are all locally renowned experts in the field of performing arts education.
Classes take place on a weekly basis and offer students opportunities in all aspects of theatre including acting, mime, movement, dance, singing ,voice and a range of stage technologies.
The classes and times are as follows –
Monday
1.30 – 3.00pm – Shakespeare for home schooled students.
3.45 – 4.30pm – Dance/Drama 4 – 6 year olds
4.45 – 5.45pm – Drama 6 – 8 year olds
Tuesday
4.00 – 5.00pm – Drama 9 – 11 year olds
5.00 – 6.00pm – Musical Theatre/Drama 12 – 14 year olds
6.00 – 7.00pm – Musical Theatre/Drama 15 years old and over
Wednesday
4.00 – 5.30pm – Drama 12 – 15 year olds
5.30 – 7.00pm – Drama 16 years old and over
Thursday
3.45 – 4.45pm – Musical Theatre/Drama 9 – 12 year olds
5.30 – 6.30pm – Dance 11 years old and over
The school year consists of three terms and is brought to a close with the performance of the annual Stagecraft production for the wider community.
